Valet, Meet the Mini-E

It's always funny to pull up to a valet and tell them about the electric mini and it's weird braking thing and fast acceleration. They nod as if, yeah whatever I can drive, dude, and then get in the car. There's usually a bit of a jolt and jerk as they park but when they get out of the car they're just beaming. This valet at Cafe De Solar just beams now when we pull up. He's got it down.

Took posession of Mini-E 14 today and had an exhilerating ride off the lot. Gorgeous machine. Looking forward to the next year of electric driving and fresh eggs.

Mini-E Wall Charger Installation

One of the first steps to getting the Mini-E is the Wall Charger installation. We got that done today! Installation was paid for by Mini as long as we were up to speed on the wiring. And we were.

So, now we just have to clean the garage so the car actually fits...

Well it's official. We have been approved and have come on board as test drivers for the new Mini-E field trial-- a totally hot, pure electric vehical. We'll be seeing it for the first time in person at a Mini-E event May 5th. This should be an exciting *green* adventure!

I had an EV1 during it's all too brief life on this planet and it was a breathtaking ride. Being able to try out this mini-e takes some of the sting out of what eventually happened to these beautiful beasts.

The special Wall Box Installation is the first step and that's due any day now. Just signed the documents to have it done today.
